Instructions

  1. First, you will need to make a cinnamon and sugar mixture. This will be the coating for the crisps. Use a ratio of around 1 cup of white sugar to 1 tablespoon cinnamon. Mix the sugar and cinnamon together and set aside.

  2. Now, you will need to create the faces of your jack-o-lanterns. Using a knife (a pairing knife works well) begin cutting out the eyes, nose and mouth on the tortilla shell. Taco sized tortilla shells work best, but any size of shell can be used.

  3. Once your tortilla shells have their faces, you will spray them front and back with Pam Spray. You could also brush them with melted butter, but using the spray is a time-saver.

  4. Now, take your coated jack-o'-lantern and place it into the cinnamon sugar mixture. Flip it over and coat the other side as well.

  5. Place the coated tortilla shells onto a baking sheet and place into your 350 degree preheated over for 10 minutes. The tortillas will harden a bit when you take them out of the oven, so don't bake until they are super hard.

If the crisps start to look very dark in the oven, it is beyond time to take them out. Let them cool and that's it!
